Here we go...

Starting this blog has been on my "to do" list for several weeks, but it has taken me a while to figure out how and where to begin. While most of you reading this know us pretty well, there might be a few new friends and visitors who don't know our story. This blog is mainly going to document this new life we've found ourselves in... our new life as parents to our precious little boy, Caleb. But before we start telling you about our little man, here's how our family came to be.

Brad and I met in March 2007. We began dating within just a few weeks and were married in August 2008. After two years of marriage, we were ready to grow our family. Our prayers were answered on March 1, 2012 when we found out that I was pregnant. It took eighteen long months to finally see that positive pregnancy test. I will share more about our infertility struggle someday.

My pregnancy went pretty well. I taught fitness classes until I reached the third trimester, and I worked full-time until pre-term labor and elevated blood pressure forced me to bed rest at 33 weeks. The rest seemed to help with both the contractions and my blood pressure. At 38 weeks, my doctor decided to induce. We were so ready to meet our little guy.
