Tyler - Four Months

Weight: 12 lb 11 oz

Length: 25.5"

Clothing size: Mostly 3-6 month. He still wears 0-3 month shorts and pants, because his waist is so skinny.

Diaper size: size 1

Eating: Tyler nurses 7-8 times each day. He takes one 4oz bottle before "bedtime" each evening and takes two or three 4oz bottles while I'm at work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Sleeping: Tyler goes to bed at about 9:30pm and usually sleeps through the night (until about 6:30-7:30am). Every now and then, he'll wake up earlier and go right back to sleep after nursing for a little while. He takes several 30-60 minute naps throughout the day, and occasionally he takes a longer nap.

Highlights of the month: Tyler discovered his feet and is trying so hard to roll from his back to his tummy. He's getting close!

Last Day of MDO

Another Mother's Day Out school year is coming to an end today. Caleb had two wonderful teachers, and he had the sweetest classmates. The year was filled with lots of finger painting, playground time and Goldfish crackers. He has next week off, and then both he and Tyler will start Summer MDO on June 1st.

Just because...

Walking!

When Caleb was a baby, we were told that he probably wouldn't start walking until he was 2-4 years old. He has been working with a physical therapist since he was two months old, and it seems like we've been working on standing up and walking for several months. We are beyond thrilled that, at 2.5 years old, he is walking! He can't go more than about 15 feet without assistance... and really, he usually goes even less than that before either losing his balance or taking a shortcut to grab on to a nearby object/person. But he wants to walk constantly now, and I know that his strength/endurance will improve with time and practice!

Highlights of the month: Tyler moved out of our room at 2.5 months and now sleeps in the crib in his nursery! He smiles and "talks" when being played with now!

Tyler's Newborn Photos

I realized last night, as I was looking back through old blog posts, that I never posted any of Tyler's newborn photos. These were taken in Tyler's nursery when he was nine days old. The photographer, Anna Bryan, is an occupational therapist at the clinic where Caleb goes weekly. While in school, she did a rotation with Caleb's OT and that's how we got to know her. She does photography as a hobby, and we are beyond pleased with the work she did!
